Truckin' all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio, The Skeetones make an appearance at Doc's Music Hall on February 24th for an ALL AGES FREE SHOW! Also sharing the stage is Freekbot (Cincinnati, Oh) for a night of electric energy!
--SKEETONES bring a new generation of music to the Midwest's electronic landscape. While production and sound design lay the foundation for songwriting, the music comes to life during the band's energetic performances. From chopping acapella samples to wobbling bass lines, Skeetones create on-the-fly remixes of their own songs without using a single loop or backing track.
--FREEKBOT is a duo from bass and groove scientist Freekbass, who tags up with DMC USA DJ champion and producer Tobotius. Both artists are well known throughout the Jam, Electronic, and hardcore musician worlds. Freekbass offers his unique bass work, history of playing festivals, clubs and colleges, and history of playing with and sitting in with artists such as Ivan Nevilles’ Dumpstafunk, Mike Gordon, Bernie Worrell and Buckethead. He also plays in the funktronica trio Headtronics with DJ Logic and Steve Molitz. Tobotius brings his unique style and history of producing,engineering, as well as plays with the likes of funk master Bootsy Collins and producer Hi-Tek. He is also part of the DJ Collective ,The Animal Crackers ,who have won multiple awards and have always been the official DJs for the Scribble Jam Festival.
